The portal provides information and consulting services to agricultural institutions - ministries, libraries, information centers, universities, research institutes and centers, NGOs, agro- marketing organizations and agricultural enterprises involved in the integration process.
Today the United Nations Development Programme in Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations of the Republic of Uzbekistan launched a joint project “Promoting youth employment in Uzbekistan” funded by the Russian Federation - UNDP Trust Fund for Development.
From May 13-14 Ms. Mirjana Spoljaric Egger, the UNDP Assistant Administrator and Director of UNDP’s Regional Bureau for Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States will visit Uzbekistan to discuss with key national counterparts UNDP’s contribution to advance national development priorities, including the implementation of Agenda 2030.
The new phase of the women farmers training programe project "improvement of skills and knowledge in the practice of agriculture, agribusiness and the sharing of experiences of Uzbek women farmers" started in April 2018. In accordance with the plan of implementation of the project, two experts conducted a study to assess the needs of women farmers. Questionnaires have been prepared based on previous trainings and their results included in the report on the current situation of farms in agriculture of Uzbekistan.
On April 25 of this year, at the Tashkent State Agrarian University was held a training seminar as part of the project “Increasing the knowledge and experience of women farmers in agriculture and agribusiness, as well as expanding cooperation between the centers organized in the system of universities”.
In April 23, 2019 of Samarkand District of Samarkand Region, the opening ceremony of information and consultation (extension) center of agriculture conducted successfully based on 4020 -Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated November 20, 2018 "On measures to create additional conditions for the development of greenhouse complexes".
