In April 23, 2019 of Samarkand District of Samarkand Region, the opening ceremony of information and consultation (extension) center of agriculture conducted successfully based on 4020 -Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated November 20, 2018 "On measures to create additional conditions for the development of greenhouse complexes".
In the event, a governor of Samarkand District , Sh. Jamalov and head director of Scientific and Production Center for Agriculture and Food Supply, B.M Halikov referred specifically about the necessities of sustainable development of Agriculture, and the integration of education and production.
Furthermore, Head of the Department of Education and the Introduction of Innovative Technologies of the Ministry of Agriculture Sh.B.Amanov emphasized the importance of the information and advisory service in agriculture as a mechanism for transferring innovations to agricultural production.
It is obvious that in these days, several contracts are the facts for the establishment of close relations between Uzbekistan and South Korea. In 2009, the memorandum between Agricultural Research and Production Center of the republic of Uzbekistan and Agricultural Development Administration of South Korea signed up and KOPIA Uzbekistan center started its movement. KOPIA Uzbekistan center is investigating scientific research in developing countries on the basis of international cooperation programs.
The international project planned for 2017-2018, namely ‘’ Development of a strategy for the development of agricultural knowledge distribution with a view to introducing advanced technologies in agriculture of Uzbekistan ‘’ based on the signed memorandum between Agricultural Research and Production Center of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Korean Agricultural Development Administration has been conducted.
Park Kyung Suk, head of the Extension Department of the Korean Agricultural Development Administration (RDA), commented on the role of information and advisory services in developing rural areas.
To upgrade facilities for increasing efficiency and sustainability of agricultural commodity producers (farmers and landowners), mastering and establishing educational achievements, innovative developments and high experience, and developing agricultural enterprises based on implementation of multidisciplinary information and consulting services are considered as the main objectives.
Moreover, in the opening ceremony, director of the KOPIA Uzbekistan center, Ahn Hee Sung presented ‘’ Implementation of Korean Technology (TMP) for Feeding Cattle in All Livestock Farms of the Republic of Uzbekistan’’.
In the event the representatives Ministry of Agriculture, Scientific and Production Center for Agriculture and Food Supply, Representatives of the KOPIA Center for Agricultural Development Administration of the Republic of Korea, Samarkand District Governor and entrepreneurs have taken part.
